Pitch at USC VCIC

Friday, November 13, 2026. USC Marshall School of Business.

How VCIC Works for Startups.

The Venture Capital Investment Competition puts MBA teams in the investor seat: they hear live pitches, run diligence, and write term sheets on the startups in the room.

Startups that pitch get a morning of investor questions, written feedback from every team, and term sheets from the teams that would have funded them.

Your Morning at VCIC

Before

Teams Read Your Deck

Six teams get your materials a few days ahead, under the VCIC NDA.

8:45 AM

Your Pitch

Ten minutes to about 60 people: the teams, investors and organizers.

10:00 AM

Due Diligence

Your own room. Each team meets you one-on-one; judges in the room give you feedback between teams.

Noon

Lunch With Investors

The investors who just watched teams dissect your business. They come to meet founders too.

After

Feedback and Term Sheets

Every team tells you why it did or didn’t invest. The startup with the most term sheets is Most VC-Backable.

Is VCIC Right for You

The best fit has raised $150K to $1.5M so far. Outside that range, apply anyway and tell us where you are.

  • You have raised a meaningful pre-seed or seed round
  • You are preparing a priced round: a Series A or a strong seed
  • You can attend a half-day Friday event in Los Angeles
  • You are comfortable sharing your deck with student teams under NDA
  • You want to meet about eight investors in one morning
  • SAFEs or notes for your actual raise are fine. Propose a priced round for the day

Deadline

Sunday, November 8, 2026, 11:59pm PT

Counting down to Sunday, November 8, 2026, 11:59pm America/Los_Angeles.
